I remember having an event like this prior to diagnosis many years ago. I read an article which I have lost track of which seemed to explain how the event was thyroid linked. A relative (diagnosed) has these symptoms and is currently in hospital (two weeks) but all tests show no indication of what the issue could be. Can anyone remember an article highlighting these symptoms? Thanks

This article is about carbon monoxide … will keep looking!
Has an gas leak been or other source been ruled out?
From what I just looked up hypothyroidism weakens our lungs and ability to expell carbon dioxide much like COPD does and it builds up in the blood stream. Mostly when your levels are very low or near coma stage. That's what I seen but don't quote me on that.
Could you be thinking of low CO2, which can cause weakness? Do you hyperventilate?
