Unfortunately, often the NHS is very reluctant to initiate thyroid treatment, your TSH is slightly elevated but your frees are in range, not optimal but in range.
You might be lucky especially if you have a family history of thyroid or other autoimmune conditions and be able to get a trial of Levothyroxine but its more likely your GP will want the test repeating or will suggest retesting in a few months time.
Normally we need 2 over range TSH 3 months apart before they will consider starting Levo. If your frees were out of range or if you had tested thyroid antibodies and they were elevated then that could be an argument to trial Levo.
I'm sorry as its very frustrating when you can see there is a problem but doctors dont acknowledge it.
TSH should be under 2, so your thyroid is showing signs of struggling. However, GP unlikely to offer Levo trial until this rises further. Was your blood draw early morning? This gives highest TSH reading.
So we can offer better advice, can you tell us more about your ongoing symptoms.
Do you have blood test results for antibody and key vitamin tests (ferritin, folate, vitamins D and B12). Antibodies will show if your thyroid condition is auto immune (aka Hashimotos). Key vitamins support thyroid health.
You could ask GP to test antibodies & key thyroid vitamins as first step.
