So one year after my first blood test I’m going to go back to my gp to ask for a ‘second’ (more like 10th) opinion, I’m under medicated 25mcg levothyroxine, still symptomatic and fed up! I’m going back to the gp, basically demanding a dose increase and citing the research to support it. (My latest results show a tsh of 2.73, I would like to be 1 or under).
if they refuse yet again I’m going private for a consultation and a letter of recommendation to the gp for a dose increase, I will update with how it goes, wish me luck!

Good luck HoneyBee2. Don’t forget to request testing of key thyroid vitamins too (folate, ferritin, B12 and vit D) as having these optimal supports thyroid health.
If they cannot deal with a 25mcg replacement dose of bio- identical levothyroxine how on earth do they manage to treat patients with some of the most powerful controlled drugs.
I have found asking for a "trial" helpful. They get the impression they can take it away again, are not put on the spot. They never remember the trial bit later! Good luck,
