Hi , it’s been a while since I posted ! After moving to the uk from the USA where I was prescribed I have been on a roller coaster journey of self medicating with NDT ! I was able to buy the same NDT from the USA until it was recalled and with many other brands .
I have been taking the NDT Real Thyroid from a Vietnam . My GP knows that I take it , she does my bloods when I request them even though she has no clue what NDT is !
I have 10 x 250 tabs of NDT and did not realise that they have an expiration date of 28/04 /2024 ( I know , stupid of me as I was using up a previous order )
The company is not responding to any contact from me as I need to reorder but need to know what the expiration date is!
I came across an NDT from Vietna,, has anyone had any experience with this company , also from Vietnam and could you share your thoughts !
Thanks

The NDT is made in Vietnam by the same ”company” that makes Real Thyroid.
The company in question does not exist. They have a fake website with no contact information and a place holder on their home page.
All the info about these products can be traced back to one person (a seller).
Someone makes these products, but not ”Eastern Pharmaceuticals” in Vietnam. So, we have no way of knowing what they really contain nor how or if quality controls are carried out.
This NDT has been around since 2022 but there are no online reviews. If it really worked, it would have been a huge success, especially after the disappearance of two Thai brands.
My advice would be not to waste your money. At the very least, do some research before ordering.
many thanks to all the replies . I have been trying for a week now to get in touch with both companies with no return correspondent from them! My last order was lost and. I I Actually managed to ring them and was told that they had a distribution centre in Poland , I received a replacement order and then several weeks later the original order arrived ,hence the 10 x250 bottles of NDT with expiration date of 28/04/2024 ! I have tried ringing both phone numbers on the paper work and the centre in Poland , no answer ! I am now thinking they have gone out of business .
If you wish to ask for PMs for NDT sources then do start a new post. It will be locked to prevent any information being posted in the group and membrs can PM you.
It's clearly a UK forum so I simply consider myself a guest. When in someone else's home I abide by the rules, although I may not "respect" them. But it's still unfortunate.
Rexz, 'Seems naming a supplier should be perfectly legit. Forum members should be aloud to share information. It's unfortunate that is not the case.'
You may not have read the forum posting guidelines that you automatically agree to by joining the forum. In particular, these two are relevant to your comment here:
28. Do not post advertisements, links or information of any sort whatsoever, on where or how to obtain UK prescription only medications without prescription. This includes online pharmacies who issue 'prescriptions' on the basis of the completion of a simple health questionnaire.
29. Do not post offers to sell or give away your unwanted medications or over the counter supplements. Similarly, do not post requests for medications or over the counter supplements from others.
If public posting of sources was permitted, the forum would be awash with scammers within minutes!
Information on sources can and frequently is, shared via the messaging (Chat) system. As outlined in our Purchasing Medications Warning Post here healthunlocked.com/thyroidu...
I heard from someone who recently ordered the product you refer to, and received batches manufactured in 2022. You would think they would all be gone by now, right?!
It`s not about the shelf-life but the fact that, in 2024, they are still shipping batches manufactured in 2022 which is the year they started producing this product. Have they not manufactured any batches since 2022?
At one point, I considered this product as there have been so many problems reported with Thyroid-S, but it bothers me that the alledged manufacturer does not have a legit website. It is marketed as a supplement so would not need to be manufactured by a pharmaceutical company. It`s very expensive, too.
Regarding thyroid hormones being past their use by date, over the years I've been taking thyroid hormones I have taken T4, T3 and NDT quite a long way past their use by date (about 18 months - 2 years). I haven't noticed a drop in strength, and even if I did I would just increase my dose very slightly to make up for it. If the alternative was throwing my pills away, I can't see a problem.
The only things that would make me throw pills away that I had bought would be if they did one of the following :
a) Started to smell different
b) Looked different e.g. discoloured
c) Crumbled
d) Got damp
I know I'm not the only person on the forum who does this because the subject has come up before. I'm the one taking the risk (if there is one), so in my opinion I can do what I want, and I'm the only person who can suffer for it.
Other people can take their own risks and make their own decisions.
I should add that the two products come from the same company. The product we have to publicly refer to as NDT is technically a supplement (they added selenium and a few other ingredients to be able to sell it as such). So, there is no declared hormone content. I wonder if this also applies to Real Thyroid? Since it does contain seaweed, I wonder if it is actually a ”thyroid support product” (many of these contain iodine)?
This question gets even more relevant if they are not made by an actual pharmaceutical company, as I think only pharmaceutical companies can manufacture NDT (= intended to replace deficient thyroid hormone with a standardised T3 and T4 content).
I did raise this question on a thyroid blog recommending these products, but my comment was deleted.
