ft 3.is 3.59 out of [3.1-6.8]

ft4 is 18.9 out of [12-22]

tsh 2.81 out od [27-4.1]

i been 5 eeks on 75 mg of lt4 levoxine

Did you test as recommended

early morning, ideally just before 9am, only drink water between waking and test and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test

This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip)

You tested too soon ….recommended to test 6-8 weeks after each dose change

assuming tested correctly…..Shows you currently have low Ft3

TSH over 2 suggests you have room to increase your dose Levo a little

Perhaps try adding 12.5mcg daily (cutting 25mcg tablets in half )

Retest in 6-8 weeks

Meanwhile working on improving low vitamin levels

Only add one supplement at a time

Wait 10-14 days to assess

i have low d

Work on improving low vitamin D

How low was vitamin D

How much vitamin D are you taking

but b12 is over 345

B12 is within range ……so Medics won’t treat

But it’s too low

2 weeks after starting vitamin D look at adding a daily separate B12 supplement

Low B12 symptoms

b12deficiency.info/signs-an...

methyl-life.com/blogs/defic...

With serum B12 result below 500, (Or active B12 below 70) recommended to be taking a separate B12 supplement

A week later add a separate vitamin B Complex

Then once your serum B12 is over 500 (or Active B12 level has reached 70), you may be able to reduce then stop the B12 and just carry on with the B Complex.

If Vegetarian or vegan likely to need ongoing separate B12 few times a week

Highly effective B12 drops

B12 range is too wide

Interesting that in this research B12 below 400 is considered inadequate

Low folate

supplementing a good quality daily vitamin B complex, one with folate in (not folic acid)

This can help keep all B vitamins in balance and will help improve B12 levels too

Difference between folate and folic acid

Many Hashimoto’s patients have MTHFR gene variation and can have trouble processing folic acid supplements

B vitamins best taken after breakfast

Igennus B complex popular option. Nice small tablets. Most people only find they need one per day. But a few people find it’s not high enough dose

Post discussing different B complex

healthunlocked.com/thyroidu...

Thorne Basic B recommended vitamin B complex that contains folate, but they are large capsules. (You can tip powder out if can’t swallow capsule) Thorne can be difficult to find at reasonable price, should be around £20-£25. iherb.com often have in stock. Or try ebay

IMPORTANT......If you are taking vitamin B complex, or any supplements containing biotin, remember to stop these 7 days before ALL BLOOD TESTS , as biotin can falsely affect test results

endo.confex.com/endo/2016en...

endocrinenews.endocrine.org...

In week before blood test, when you stop vitamin B complex, you might want to consider taking a separate folate supplement (eg Jarrow methyl folate 400mcg) and continue separate B12 until over 500

Retest thyroid and vitamin levels in another 6 weeks

Likely to see that you can increase levothyroxine dose

I'm sorry you are feeling like this. You are not alone. Many of us have felt the same. You got some good advice yesterday on here. You need to stick with the 75mcg levothyroxine for now. Test again in 6 weeks. Your last results show a low range ft3 and high range ft4. When my results are like this I feel shakey and anxious because my ft4 is too high. But at the same time i feel cold and exhausted because my ft3 is too low. Be kind to yourself. Finding the right dose and medications is a slow process. One step at a time.

Stick with the 75mcg levo, and see what your ft4 and ft3 levels are at your next blood test. You might need to add in some t3 (liothyronine) if your ft3 is still low. But before you do that, make sure all your vitamins and minerals are at good levels too because they can affect how well you convert t4 into t3.
