Levothyroxine was reduced late September 23 from 100ug to 75ug due to TSH 0.03. Have gradually been feeling the effects of this it seems. Now feeling very tired, not thinking straight - brain fog, reduced appetite although crave chocolate (didn't know reduced appetite was symptom until very recently), extremely lethargic, tired all the time, brain fog etc. etc. etc. I seem to be a bit better in the mornings but maybe due to effects of morning dose. A few times when feeling bad but not as bad as now have taken another dose or half a dose and felt better within a few hours. Trying not to take extra dose to get more accurate blood results on test later this month.
In January, bloods were taken on the same morning I had taken my regular dose of levothyroxine and also forgotten to take the day before's dose (taken around 8 am each am usually) so took around midnight. The TSH result then was 0.57 so listed as normal. Now on 75ug and 100ug alternate days but not feeling great. Does it sound like undermedication or could it be something else? Would really appreciate any thoughts/advice.

Do you always get same brand levothyroxine at each prescription
For full Thyroid evaluation you need TSH, FT4 and FT3 tested
Also both TPO and TG thyroid antibodies tested at least once to see if your hypothyroidism is autoimmune
Very important to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 at least once year minimum
Recommended that all thyroid blood tests early morning, ideally just before 9am, only drink water between waking and test and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test
This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip)
Private tests are available as NHS currently rarely tests Ft3 or all relevant vitamins

your body needs time to adjust to decreases or increases of medication, if you are not consistent with dosage of levothyroxine then your blood test results may not be as accurate as they should be. I would try to avoid randomly increasing medication; it is not helping you to stabilise. Take a regular prescribed dose for at least 4-6 weeks then ask GP for another blood test or pay privately for one that includes TSH FT3 FT4
