Advice on latest results 🙏🏻

Hi all,

Just after some opinions on my latest set of results. I’m not worried about the TSH as I’ve learned from you guys all about that.

I had them redone as my dose of Thyroxine has been reduced from 125mcg to 100mcg as my Dr wasn’t happy with TSH which was 0.05. My problem is that I am feeling crappy. I have put on weight in the past 5 months despite exercising 5 days a week. I am sluggish, tired from morning to night, low mood, low libido and getting some mild constipation.

I am on HRT patches so expected to be feeling better than ever by now but in truth am feeling as bad as I ever did ☹️.

Xxx

Actually your results have slightly improved since last testing 3 months ago

healthunlocked.com/thyroidu....

Ft3 was 4.32 - now 4.48

Ft4 was 18.6. - now 20.6

TPO reduced slightly too

Ft3 still too low at 37% through range

Helpful calculator for working out percentage through range

chorobytarczycy.eu/kalkulator

Suggest you take up endocrinologist offer of T3 trial

They would probably want you to reduce levothyroxine by 25mcg and add in 2x 5mcg T3 doses

Yes I did think that and I couldn’t relate it to how I have been feeling but it could be many other things too I suppose.

Thank you 😊 🙏🏻. The calculator is useful

Perhaps consider getting DIO2 gene test

thyroiduk.org/getting-a-dia...

This is common gene variation. If you test positive, it can be helpful for persuading endocrinologist of need for T3 prescribed

Thank you SlowDragon. That sounds sensible. I’m slowly making my way through Paul Robinson’s book “The Thyroid Patients Manual” so I’m getting a much better understanding now.

All you guys on this site have really educated me!

Apart from what's already been said, at this time of year I'd want my vit D at least in the high 90s, better over 100 (as it's going to drop through the autumn and winter)

Hi M1ssmolly,

I feel crappy to, and would like a blood test, I will go private as Drs don’t do T3. Can I ask where you get your blood tests done? Can I send for one through the post? Xx

🙁

Aw bless you. It’s such a minefield. I’ve used Medichecks. They are very good and speedy with results. You order online and post the sample back in a prepaid envelope.

You may have to pay for the blood to be taken (usually around £30).

All the very best to you. Once you have results ask the guys here for their opinion. They are spot on with advice. X
