Looking for suggestions

I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's back in 2014. I have only been on synthroid once for about a year. It messed with my sleep and my blood pressure. So I stopped taking it and I became hooked on a sleep med to boot. My last US according to my report are referring to it as a goiter. I did have more daytime energy while taking synthroid. I'm seeing a weight loss Dr and she wanted me to take low dose synthroid. The Endocrine dr disagreed because my TSH was under 5. I also got diagnosed with PBC recently which can also play a role with fatigue. Any suggestions on what I should do next. Should I push for synthroid and will it help control the size of my thyroid. Or should I leave well enough alone. Tia

Hi Zelda5 , can you let us know your recent blood test results?

Ideally for TSH, but also Free T4 and Free T3. Let us know when you last had antibodies tested and what those results were. Assuming that’s what preceded the Hashi diagnosis.

If you are Hashi, and seeing your TSH so high, I’m going to assume that your Free Ts are also sub optimal and causing symptoms.

But can’t say for sure without your blood results.

If you are Hashi, it’s also likely you would benefit from Levo. But it requires the right dose and titration approach, which we can help with.
