Is anyone familiar with this brand please and if so did you suffer any adverse affects?

There has already been a thread about this today - and most of what you might want to knopw has been mentioned there or in links posted there:

new Levo

healthunlocked.com/thyroidu...

All UK medicines are detailed in helvella's medicines documents (UK and Rest of the World) which can be found here:

helvella - Thyroid Hormone Medicines

helvella has created, and tries to maintain, documents containing details of all thyroid hormone medicines in the UK and, in less detail, many others around the world.

This link takes you to a page which has direct links to the documents from Dropbox and QR codes to make it easy to access from phones.

The UK document contains up-to-date versions of the Summary Matrix for tablets, oral solutions and liothyronine available in the UK.

It's a good one, they are obviously trying to use up old stock as it is now called Vencamil

Aristo is the original version of what is now marketed under the name of Vencamil.

I'm fine with it as its lactose free. It seems to be generally well tolerated.

Hi Distressedthyroid,

Not had any issues so far. My levo of choice Aristo/Vencamil brand 😊

I like it too, although my pharmacist did say some people didn't like it due to the fact it crumbles too easily and therefore wasn't easy to cut up. I take it whole so don't have that issue. I also don't have any adverse side effects from it either

But it is very easy to split by finger pressure alone - no cutting needed.

Place on a hard surface, side with division mark uppermost. And press with thumb.

This is in most Aristo patient information outside the UK. But looks like the MHRA is not keen on that approach as there is no mention in the UK version despite the rest of the information being essentially identical. Maybe the MHRA is not convinced about the accuracy of the split?

From Aristo patient information (outside UK).
