Hi, just seen we cqn get MEDEX and have all our perscriptuons free. Is it as easy as it sounds? Can i get the private consultant to sign it instead of the docter?
Just seen i can get MEDEX: Hi, just seen we cqn... - Thyroid UK
Just seen i can get MEDEX
I don't think a private doctor of any sort is authorised to sign a Medex form.
Details here:
nhsbsa.nhs.uk/check-if-you-...
And it would not apply to anything that is prescribed by a non-NHS doctor.
If you cannot get a Medex, consider the value of a prepayment certificate.
He also works for the NHS? Cant face trying my GP. They have written all over my records that my Thyroid is fine after ignoring my bloods and symptoms. The NHS Endo and GP keep quoting my latest NHS TSH which was done at 3pm after dinner - and therefore i am in range. Its medical gas lighting. Cant be bothered to tell them ive proved them wrong. I will give them enough rope as they say!!!
Your NHS GP would have to accept your Hypothyroid diagnosis for them to sign a MEDEX.
All hypo people can get free NHS prescriptions for life.
I would suggest is he can write a perscription he could sign it. I will email him. Cant even get through to my docter and there no hope of an appointment.
