Had my ENT

So i finally had an appointment. They put a camera down my nose and into my throat. They said they couldnt see anything obvious but will send me to an ultrasound in next 2 weeks (as i am on 2WW for head and neck cancer). You would think this would be re-assuring but i just want a diagnosis at this stage good or bad.

Still dipping. Now goes to 78%. I have a lung function test on Tuesday - but they dont seem worried about this? It worries me. If they dont find anything on the lung function or ultrasound next week i dont know what i will do. I am wondering if i have Vena Cava. Its really making me a bit crazy on Dr Google every day.

I am dumbfounded. You tell them it goes as low as 78, and they show no concern? I am sorry if I am coming off patronizing, I am simply bewildered.

If nothing is found with your lung investigation, sleep apnea could be something to look at. It should never go that low outside of sleeping with sleep apnea, but sometimes it can affect the oxygen saturation in one's waking hours.

Strangely ... I had an ultra sound after complaining of the feeling of an obstruction in my throat. Nothing found, save reporting my thyroid was very small. Now referred to ENT for the camera job. Been waiting two years ..... not holding my breath that anything will be found!

Sorry you have had such a huge wait. I am going to start my Beneden Health again after all this as i cant navigate the NHS next time. It allows you to be treated by Beneden if you are on a long waiting list over 3 months. Its very affordable - i did have it and my husband let the payments slip. Obviously he regrets that now.
