hi all

I have been on thyroid sicca and my gp will no longer prescribe it. I am going to go private to try a t4/t3 combo. I did this once before and did well on it. I realise I will have a long drawn out battle to get this prescribed on the nhs. I wondered what prices people have been paying for it privately just so I can see if my budget will stretch

Thanks for the heads up. I actually read the advice this morning. I’m definitely aiming for the prescription route as I want someone monitoring me too! Thanks again x

Here’s link for how to request Thyroid U.K.list of private Doctors by email but also link in the email to download list of recommended thyroid specialist endocrinologists who will prescribe T3

Ideally choose an endocrinologist to see privately initially and who also does NHS consultations
