Different brands levothyroxine

Hi , after speaking with my doctor ( after the endocrinologist debacle) it was agreed that I would try a different brand of levothyroxine due to various side affects I've been having .Different people seem to get along with different brands.

I've tried Teva and Eltroxin so far.

Just picked up my prescription and in the bag was

25mcg Wockhardt

50mcg Accord.

Is this normal to have different brands .

How will I tell if one agrees with me or doesn't?

Well you can’t

You could initially take

3 x Wockhardt ideally for 6 weeks minimum

Then swop to Accord….taking one and half per day

Last post shows you are currently very hypo having been on just 50mcg

It takes 6-8 weeks for each increase in dose to have full effect

It far more likely just be that your symptoms are because you were not on any where near high enough dose last time you got up to 75mcg

I am on the exact same medication & dosage as you, I went from 25mg of the Wockhardt & 50mg of the accord, I don't notice any benefit from the increase, as I still feel tired & constipated & bloated tum & I get blurry eyes sometimes, my head itches, I also can't loose weight, I have changed my diet completely & also gone lactose free, I am not gluten or celiac intolerant, tests was normal for both. I was thinking of either going back on the 25mg or just taking the 50mg. I usually take mine just before bedtime, I don't like taking it in the morning. My last blood test showed normal. I did ask the chemist why don't they do just one 75mg pill their answer was they do, but most people like the 25mg & the 50mg together, seems strange to me.
