Michael Rosen, one of our patrons and well known writer of childen’s books and poems, has written a book called “Many Different Kinds of Love: A Story of Life, Death and the NHS” after his ordeal with COVID-19.
Michael was hospitalized and spent 47 days in intensive care and wrote a book about his experiences.
The book contains very moving diaries written by the nursing staff and doctors who looked after him, and his wife, Emma, whilst he was in a six week coma. It also contains his own prose poems about his experiences.
This book shows how important community and the kind gestures of people in these very hard times.
I thoroughly recommend this book which can be purchased from amazon.co.uk
Michael has also written a book about his hypothyroidism journey, “This is Not my Nose: A Memoir of Illness and Recovery
