Hello everyone
Is a second operation necessary for residual thyroid after TT and high antibodies?
Maybe someone has already gone through this?

Hi stoyan, welcome to the forum.
Which antibodies are you talking about? Why did you have a TT? I'm afraid we like to have all the details before venturing to say anything much.
TT 2 years ago for Based's disease, 3 months after TT I felt bad and symptoms, after 1 year ultrasound, due to swelling around the incision. The result is a remnant/replica/ of thyroid. I take Tcaps137/weight 73 kg/. I tolerate it well.
OK, so the antibodies are TRAB and/or TSI?
I don't know Tcaps, is that T4 only? Do you have any blood test results to share with us? How do you feel on that dose?
Tirosint as marketed in France.
TCAPS – capsule molle Lévothyroxine sodique

OK, thank you. But I don't take T4 so am not aware of all the brands.
Tcaps/ Tirosint/made in Switzerland, with only gelatin, glycerin and water. 9 out of 10 patients tolerate it well, me too. Sold in Europe, USA, etc., under different names.
A good experienced surgeon should not leave anything behind apart from your parathyroids.
I agree, here in France they don't do part removal only whole.
Whatever the surgery, I always choose the most experienced one with plenty of operations done. Then hope for the best.
Anticorps anti-thyroperoxydase =12.97 UI/ml /norm less than 5.61/I thought there were no antibodies after TT 2 years ago?
I really don't know anything about antibodies I only had my thyroid removed for cancer.
What a shame for you I hope everything goes well for you soon.
Can you give your exact latest blood test results for TSH, FT4, FT3 and include the ranges please. There isn't a normal as such just what keeps us well, we are all different. There should then be more replies for you. Are you living in France? We are here to help.
I forgot what is 12 evro please
Oh I see it now what a chump, thank you. I now I only have the sight in one eye and an ongoing ear tumour but really, showing my age now.
I have an exemption here in France because I have no thyroid all my medications, scans, operations, GP visits etc.etc. are free.
