I can’t upload my results files from iPad to my posts. Photos work ok but not pdf / word

I’m trying to upload test results. I hit the attachments icon below and select ‘files’ but although it shows me all my files, they are all greyed out ( whether on my iPad or in iCloud ) .It lets me upload a photo, so my only option at the mo is a workaround by taking a photo of the iPad screen with my iPhone and uploading that.

It was like this before I loaded the new OS - and after. Hmmmmm….

Are others getting the same problem ?

Thankyou

There never has been any way to upload anything other than photos/pictures. It doesn't have to be an actual photo, you can do a screenshot and upload that. support.apple.com/en-gb/gui...

Thankyou very much for that - very helpful.😀

I just assumed you could upload pdf files because it offered me files as well as photos.

The screenshot will work great - easy way to isolate the results without name etc. By coincidence I learned how to screenshot last week ! I just had to look up how to view a full page pdf though (in Books.)

This is a previous confused person ! ( in case this helps anyone )

Same problems here…except it doesn’t even let me upload a screenshot.

Well, I have been able to upload the screenshot as a trial run but not actually hit reply yet, so… yet to see if it actually works.😀

Screenshots are stored in photos, so that’s where you fetch it from, if that’s the issue ?

I can find them, but HU doesn’t allow me to upload them! It asks me to verbally describe for people with visual difficulties, but then won’t proceed.

You do need to write a word or 2 in the actual post to be able to upload any image. Have you tried that?

It wont let you just upload an image.

Yes, tried describing the screenshot as required…but it doesn’t let me upload.

I dont mean the description bit, although you do also need to do that. I mean in the main body of the actual post where your image will appear. You need to write something however short.

Not sure about that. Thanks, I’ll experiment.
