Last Wednesday evening I took double by mistake. Within 15 mins I felt nausea palpitations heart rate was 158 while lying down blood pressure 178/110 This went on for several hours. I couldn’t move as the slivers movement made me feel like my heart was going to explode. By the following morning my Obs readings had returned to normal. I haven’t taken any Levo for the last week as I feel a bit light headed over anxious a bit breathless and some palpitations.
These symptoms make me a bit worried about taking any Levo while I have these symptoms. Could this overdose still be causing these symptoms?
Just wondering if anyone else has experienced anything like this

15 minutes after you took it, the pill would still be in your stomach, so not doing anything. Perhaps you have some sort of infection and it was just a coincidence that you over-dosed at that point. Or, you were reacting to a double dose of the fillers/excipients in the tablet.
Levo is the thyroid hormone T4, basically a storage hormone that doesn't do anything much until converted into T3, and that doesn't happen instantly.
I felt like that plus an anxiety over the roof after taking 25mcg of levothyroxine for the first time. Phoned endo and told him what was going on, he asked me to stop taking it. I suspect it is not the whole truth in thinking about T4 as "storage" hormone.
