9.10am cortisol levels

A friend has asked my opinion of her 9.10am cortisol test which was 620. There’s no ref or unit measurements but I’m presuming it’s nmol/L 🤷🏾

I don’t have the knowledge to advise but roughly, what would be an optimal level?

Without the reference ranges it’s pretty difficult to say really. But if they are the same as when I had my cortisol 9am checked recently then the figure of 620 is very high. Mine normally is about 275 at 9am range is 150-650. I’ve had a few synacthen tests and I have no adrenal problems as my levels peak pretty high when given the false ACTH injection

I’d request the ranges from the doctor or admin staff and if it’s still 620 and very high I’d ask to see an endocrinologist for further investigation.

I have no idea about the numbers or synacthen tests. Had trouble enough understanding my own report. Will advise her to speak to GP
