hi everyone, can anyone tell me if there is a shortage of Morningside Liothyronine 20mcg. My usual chemist is out of stock and doesn’t know when it will be back in and I just wondered whether it was just in the South of England. I have tried many chemists today who either don’t answer the phone or pick up then put down or if some pick up it is out of stock and expensive. Anyone any ideas? As I am so frustrated with some chemists. Many thanks

I have been unable to get any from my usually extremely helpful pharmacy

Other members have been having trouble too

I spoke to Morningside last week. They denied any issue

But my pharmacist showed me stock lists at all the wholesalers….No Morningside

One member successfully got some this morning at Boots ….after a wait of week or so

Suggest you ring Morningside and “moan”

ok thank you will do is phone number on side of pkt. Iv tried boots rang complaints because several boots pharmacy never answer the phone and a bloke said I could get it from one of their pharmacies when I rang them to make sure, they didn’t have it and don’t know when it will be in, depends if there supplier sends it but I know they can ring any supplier it’s just morningside is the most expensive apparently. They did offer teva 🤢😩

Teva T3 doesn’t contain mannitol (unlike Teva Levothyroxine) …..so I am going to try that if I can’t get any morningside soon

I have spoken to someone who didn’t know the answer. I have sent a enquiries form to them online. Let me know how you get on with the teva when you get it. Have a good weekend.

I started out on Teva lio and had no problems with it. The biggest issue was getting into the tamper proof tub they came in . Tried Morningside and preferred the blister packs which is why I changed to it.

It’s nearly 5 hence the “pick up phone then put it down” routine is in action. I’ll try Monday.

was it your GP that told you that or the pharmacy. What brand are you using instead.

2 different pharmacies. Now taking mercurypharma and doing OK on it. A lot of pharmacies are stocking roman. Which makes me really unwell. Luckily I try elsewhere and get mercurypharma now.

Oh I can’t get on with MP it gives me a terrible headache but some on here are going to try Teva Liothyronine as it doesn’t have mannitol in unlike Teva Levothyroxine.

we are all different I suppose. I felt unwell on teva and even worse on roma. Hope you can get yours sorted

I can get on with MP levo but not Lio. Glad you are all sorted now.
