I was diagnosed with an under active thyroid a few years ago. A scan and antibody test confirmed it is hashimoto’s. My Levo has been gradually increased each year and I’m now on 100mcg. Up until recently I’ve felt okay but lately I’ve been feeling really tried and well a bit strange. I had my TSH annual test done at my local surgery and it has increased to 4.13. My GP has said this is normal and isn’t interested in discussing further. I know they should be testing more than just the TSH. I have BUPA insurance through work. Can anyone recommend a thyroid specialist in Sussex, Surrey or Kent, please? I’d also be happy to travel to London if needed. Many thanks.

Your TSH is far too high and you need to find a different GP at your practice who will increase your dose. Its not always easy to persuade some GPs of the need for an increase but you need to gain a little knowledge from here, gather some courage and tackle the issue head long, don't back down and if at first you don't succeed then try, try, try again.
That would save you an awful lot of money!

You are advised to get full thyroid profile bloods done to include TSH, FT4 & FT3 + vitamins ferritin, folate, B12 & D3 and antibodies before your appointment to avoid wasting your first visit.
