Hello Mazzer. So the total of 2.5, grains of Armour would give you 99mcg of T4 and 22mcg of T3. Why are you splitting it?T3 in NDT has a slower more gradual uptake/ fall than Liothyronine so you may find splitting is unnecessary.
The other thought is were you on an optimal dose of levo /Liothyronine before the switch? If not it could be you are getting ready for a increase but will need to wait for the blood tests first.
Personally if it were me I'd try taking it all first thing. Unless of course your Endo said otherwise. Other option is to take more in the morning and less in the afternoon.
Hi Im splitting it on the advice of the Endo. I take 1.5 am and 1 pm. I wasn't optimal on Levi/Lio but definitely felt better than I do now. I felt good for a week and I am wondering if I need to add some T4 to the mix. I will have to be patient and wait for the blood test.
I think she's being cautious and not wanting to blast me but its not great feeling so rubbish and feels like a backwards step, And Im paying a fortune for it.
I meant 8000 iu per day. I don't have the other results to hand but all tested and B!2 high in range and ferritin also good. I take magnesium now and again.
I was on 125mcg Levo 5 days and 150mcg 2 days per week before taking Armour. I was prescribed 3 grains a day in split doses. I felt well initially but then like you started to feel unwell. Blood tests after 8 weeks showed I was over medicated as my T3 was 8.1. I reduced to 2.5 grains a day split in the same way as you. My T3 was still over range ( just) so I have now reduced to 2 grains per day in a split dose. I feel better on the lower dose. When are you due blood tests ?
Im only on week 3. Another 5 weeks to go!. I felt better on the T3 T4 combo. I was hoping that this would allow me to get an optimal level. I feel undereducated. Ancient symptoms returning.
It is a massive learning curve and I have found this website so informative. It was after 2 weeks that I started feeling unwell, prior to that I felt great. Good luck I hope you feel better soon.
