Can anyone help and interpret these test results? We have recently moved areas and with a new doctors and this has been the first time I have been able to see my results on the doctors app. All previous test results have just been mentioned to me at my endo appointments so have no record. I have an overactive thyroid, my last results showed I was over medicated so my carbimazole was dropped to 10mg.

I'll just put these figures here.
Free T4 (fT4) 13.2 pmol/L (9 - 19) 42.0%
Free T3 (fT3) 4.8 pmol/L (2.9 - 4.9) 95.0%
How do you feel?
You may still be a tiny bit over medicated depending on how you feel.
Are you taking supplements for your vitamin levels, if so what?
What are you most recent results for ferritin, folate, B12 & D3?
Thank you for responding. My instinct on how I’m feeling is that I may still be a little bit over medicated. I had a pretty horrendous time in June / July with symptoms before they dropped my dosage so don’t want to end up back in the same place again.
I’m pretty new to all of this, so currently just take a multivitamin and have asked for the other tests but no success with the doctors yet 🤦🏻♀️
If your GP can't or won't do the vitamin tests then private tests are available, see link for companies offering private blood tests & discount codes, some offer a blood draw service at an extra cost. thyroiduk.org/help-and-supp...
There is also a new company offering walk in (includes free blood draw) & mail order blood tests in London, Kent, Sussex & Surrey areas. Check to see if there is a blood test company near you. onedaytests.com/products/ul...
Only do private tests on a Monday or Tuesday to avoid postal delays.
Multivitamins are not recommended in this group for a number of reasons, including being too low a dose to raise levels to optimal, including iodine which is not recommended when hypo and including iron which prevents absorption of the other vitamins and should be taken apart from other vitamins/Levo.
It's better to test for low levels of vitamins and supplement them separately with a higher dose of supplement.
I'll tag PurpleNails to advise about your Carb dose.
Hi Zoey - I had hyperthyroidism diagnosed in 2018. I was stable and well on Carbimazole, 10mg or 5mg on alternate days, until I needed endocrine therapy in 2021 following breast cancer. My results then changed to borderline so I was tested more frequently. After 18 months I felt hyperactive and my test results were out of range so my Carb was increased to 10mg a day. I gradually became hypo - normal TSH but low T4 - and felt very unwell this summer with extreme fatigue, aching joints and pins and needles. I am now on 5mg a day and soon felt well again but am being tested every 6 weeks. You know your body so trust yourself to know if things feel wrong and trust your doc to monitor levels. It needs a dialogue and I was able to get a face to face appt with a GP to discuss the best way forward for me. It's not a straightforward condition especially when other hormone changes occur. I wish you well.
I’m so sorry you’ve been through all of that. I hope you’re now feeling better in yourself.
Thank you! I think I’m going to contact the GP about my results, as we have recently moved and they seem alot better and helpful down here! I’ve had a shitty 4 months with symptoms and things and it was only when they dropped my carbimazole at the end of June that I started to feel better. Really don’t want to get to that situation again so nip it in the bud before it gets too bad.
