Sudden low TSh

Hello. I wonder if someone can help me please? I’ve asked my gp but they said they aren’t sure, which hasn’t helped!

I’ve had Hashimoto’s disease for around 15 years. I’ve always had very similar blood test results and always been on 125 levothyroxine.

Suddenly this time my tsh is really low.

Does anyone know why that would happen? I thought it was get worse (higher tsh) in time.

I’ve attached the results if anyone could assist please. 😀

Have you been dieting or skipping meals? That can reduce TSH and sometimes push T4 up.

Do you always get the same brand of Levo?

Are you supplementing and what were your latest vittamin levels?

Low vitamin levels can affect TSH, especially B12.

Private tests are available, see link for companies offering private blood tests & discount codes, some offer a blood draw service at an extra cost. thyroiduk.org/help-and-supp...

There is also a new company offering walk in & mail order blood tests in London, Kent, Sussex & Surrey areas. Check to see if there is a blood test company near you. onedaytests.com/products/ul...

Only do private tests on a Monday or Tuesday.

Do you always have your blood draw at the same time of day?

Looking at previous posts

You have Hashimoto’s

What vitamin supplements are you taking

Do you always get same brand levothyroxine

Recommended that all thyroid blood tests early morning, ideally just before 9am, only drink water between waking and test and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test

This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip)

On T3 - day before test split T3 as 2 or 3 smaller doses spread through the day with last dose 8-12 hours before test

Private tests are available as NHS currently rarely tests Ft3 or all relevant vitamins
