Update after Endocrinologist appointment. Ive been discharged.

Good morning everyone

I've just had my endocrinologist appointment and he has discharged me as he says there is nothing wrong with my thyroid.

The tests he now says he sent to Liverpool came back within range.

He says its a certain test that is used that is causing the low T4 result but then he went on to say its also my mean average. 🤷‍♀️

Hes referred me to a gastroenterologist for the low vitamins and digestive problems. Good news is that my Mri came back fine.

I don't really know what to think.

I feel like all my symptoms are in my head or maybe they are caused by the low vitamins.

You are entitled to a second opinion. I suggest emailing [e-mail] for a list of Endo's, pick one or two and make a post asking for information about them via personal message only. I'm sorry this Endo that you saw wasn't more helpful.

You've had good advice about your terribl vitamin levels which are likely caused by too lower levels of thyroid hormone.

It's not all in your head...

Retest thyroid levels 2-4 months after working on all four vitamins

Optimal vitamin levels

Vitamin D at least over 80nmol

Serum B12 at least over 500

Active B12 at least over 70

Folate near top of range

Ferritin at least over 70

Retest full thyroid and vitamin levels

Come back with new post once you get results
