These are my results 6 weeks after increasing my T3 from 5mg to 10mg a day: TSH 1.6 (0.3 - 6.00)T4 12.1 (10.4 - 24.5), T3 5.0 (3.0 - 7.1). My results from May, before increasing from 5 to 10mgs, were: TSH 1.4 T4 21 and T3 4.6. I am wondering whether my T4 is now too low, and if anyone can advise whether I should increase the thyroxine dose slightly, as I believe it should be at the higher end of the scale. My endo is happy with the latest results and doesn't recommend a change in dose. I currently take 50mg of thyroxine. TIA

Well your ft4 would be too low for me.On combo it is trial and error to find out the levels that suit and the doses that make those levels
There is no level to aim for. On combo some folks report needing ft4 and ft3 at 60% to 70% through or higher. Others feel well with low ft4 if ft3 is high. I spent 2 years adjusting doses slowly. It was a bit like Goldilocks and the 3 bears - some doses were too high and some too low then I landed on the ones that were just right. My ft4 sits at 50% at its lowest and my ft3 averages 72% and that suits me.
If you feel you need an increase in levo give it a go.
Thanks Lalatoot, for your reply. I do feel better in lots of ways, but think I could do with a tweak, as some things are still bothering me. I'm not sure though whether it's thyroid or old age or something else lol. I'll start to increase very slowly and hope it helps.
My levo was reduced too much when I started adding t3 and the endo had me on too high a dose of t3 eventually.I changed one thing at a time in small increments, waited 6 - 8 weeks did bloods. I eventually ended up back on the 100mcg daily of levo that I had been on with an additional 7.5mcg lio t3 rather than the 20mcg the endo thought I should be on.
All the best.
