I have hashimoto's and I have been seeing a functional medicine doctor because my endocrinologist was not helping. He recently ran a bunch of labs. Both my creatinine and LDH were lab low. Does anyone know what that would mean and if is connected with my thyroid in any way?

Creatinine and LDH
Creatinine is a byproduct of protein metabolism and/or muscle breakdown. It’s cleared from your body by your kidneys, so is one of the measures used to monitor how well your kidneys are working. They use a formula to turn various results including creatinine into the eGFR (estimated glomerular filtration rate, how well the kidneys are filtering the blood and removing stuff not needed).
Your kidneys won’t filter out too much, but if you have limited amounts of protein in your diet or drink excessive amounts of water it will be lower.
Kidney function and thyroid function go hand in hand, if one is lower the other is likely to be lower as well, if one is higher so will the other be.
Does that help any?
LDH, I have no knowledge.
I intentionally eat more protein than in a typical diet - 100g at least/day. I drink an electrolyte drink every day which contains 1000mg sodium, 200mg potassium, and 60mg magnesium in 34oz of water along with 1-2 glasses of water a day so I should not be overhydrated. The test was also done early in the morning after fasting and I had not drunk much beforehand.
Creatinine is reflective of kidney function, but being low like that, can't it be reflective of low energy and metabolism in muscles, especially accompanied by low ldh?
I don't know, I'm just trying to explain my chronic fatigue even though I have normal TSH, T4, and T3
Hi I just wondered which electrolyte drink you buy please?
It was LMNT. I don't drink it anymore thought. You can buy bulk potassium, magnesium, and salt and mix it yourself for a lot cheaper. Obviously it doesn't taste great but it's worth not spending a ton on a flavored drink
Ok thank you. What quantities do you use and is it mixed into orange juice or something for sugars?
I found this with regards to LDH….

Both your LDH and creatinine don’t suggest kidney issues. How well were you hydrated before the blood draw?
Do you know your thyroid FT3 results , reason I ask…
I have Hashimoto’s/hypothyroidism but my creatinine is high and down as CKD 3, on questioning this my GP said this could possibly be my normal as it’s been consistent for a decade or so… I can’t see it being high before diagnosis of thyroid issues, but they did change how they did the readings and I may have mistaken that back then as it wasn’t something that was bought to my attention, I’ve since realised. I have no other kidney problems I have had scan, have annual blood & urine tests and everything else is fine as far as can see, I no symptoms to go any further in investigation … However I have read about hypothyroidism and some having higher creatinine but with low FT3 … obviously this isn’t in your case regarding creatinine, so was interested to know if FT3 is in good range.
Free T3 was 2.7 (range 2-4.4)
