So here are my results on my new dose from 87.5mcg to 100mcg 5 weeks ago.
My energy hasn’t really improved a whole lot to be honest. I keep getting this weird feeling in my chest still that I’m gonna have a heart attack which is really frustrating I may be anxiety but who knows. I’m not gonna say I’ve gone gluten free cause I haven’t yet it’s really fricking hard especially when you go out to eat. I have noticed my conversion is really rubbish. Anyone know how I can improve this? I’ve heard selenium can help but do I need to test that beforehand? I still don’t know whether to go back down or stay on 100mcg as this weird feeling in my chest only started when I upped my dose. The burning in my muscles seem to have decreased since stopping the extra folate tablets but I still get it a little bit. I just wanna be able to go back to the gym and energy is rubbish. I don’t know what else to try. I know I definitely need to cut out gluten and maybe dairy as well. Just to see if that improves.

Ideally yes you would test. The RDA of selenium is 55mcg. Some say that supplementing with 100mcg without testing may be safe.
When I tested mine it was 185 (67-135) so I must be getting a good amount of selenium from my diet without realising it ad the only Brazil nuts I have are a small amount in my muesli and they're not from those confirmed to be grown in selenium rich soil.
Don't necessarily rely on Brazil nuts for selenium, they only contain selenium if they've been grown in selenium rich soil and the packaging states this.
Members have kindly given me the following information about Brazil nuts containing a declared amount of selenium available from well known shops/supermarkets here in the UK so if yours doesn't give this information you might want to check out the following:
Sainsburys SO organic brazil nuts contain 50mcg selenium per 30g serving of nuts
One member has said that M&S Natural Brazil Nuts say "harvested by hand in the Amazon forest and naturally high in selenium". You would have to check the nutritional information on the pack to see if it says exactly how much selenium per xxg of Brazil nuts.
Also, check out Aldi's "The Foodie Market" Brazil nuts, the packaging is said to show selenium content as 79mcg per 30g serving.
Another one is 'My Garden of Eden' Brazil nuts from Home Bargains.. They say "High in Selenium and high in vitamin E" on the front of the packet and the Nutritional Information says "one serving (25g) gives 63ug of Selenium".
More recently I've been made aware of Morrisons Market St brand which states 254mcg per 100g or 101.6mg per recommended 40g portion.
Also Waitrose Duchy Organic Brazil Nuts which they claim contain a rather startling 479mcg selenium in a 25mcg serving although that does seem to be out of proportion when looking at the others and I wonder if it's a mistake and should be 47.9mcg selenium in a 25mcg serving:
£69 for a bundle - selenium, zinc, magnesium - with Cerascreen. Takes longer than Medichecks as it's sent to Germany but half the price and an extra two tests as well.
How do these compare to your 87.5mcg results? (I've added them in below, struggling a bit to clearly read your current results)
TSH 1.64 Range 0.27-4.2
FT4 17.5 Range 12-22
FT 3.91 Range 3.1-6.8
T4 101 Range 59-154
TPOAb 109 Range Below 34
TgAB 420 Range Below 115
Folate 16.9 Range 8.83-45
My Creatinine is still high at 108
So your fT3 has improved and your creatinine has dropped a little, you seem to be responding well to Levo and it's still early days... likely you'll need another increase further down the line but you need to give it time to settle 🤗
Are you still going to the gym? Your raised creatinine levels suggest you could be overdoing it... pushing on through really doesn't work with Hashi it comes back to bite you 😕
For good conversion you need the basics.... Vit D, Ferritin, B12 and folate optimized and then hope your genetics aren't tripping you up 🙃 It's another £90+ test to check your DIO2 gene
Your e-GFR is low but I think this can also be skewed by age and physical output? But it has also come up a little
I haven’t been back to the gym since May so it’s been a while. I’m thinking that my creatinine went up when I started back at the gym March last year and I was on a high protein diet but I wasn’t feeling fatigued or maybe the gym was making me stronger but I was actually struggling with energy but then I was going to bed earlier.
All my vitamins are optimal except folate which I need to her higher. What is DIO2 test?
