Could someone please tell me if the results are good. I’ve been so tired lately Dr did my blood and said I need vitamin D I’ve to take one in the morning. And get blood done in 4weeks time. Thank you

Hi, perhaps add the picture in a reply then we can zoom in... but lose the personal details

Fay123,

I have just removed the image from your post because it contained your personal details. For your own safety and security we try always to act if members inadvertently post such information.

Please feel free to add an edited version.

Mind, if you can get a better photo it would help. That was quite difficult to read but zooming in made your details very readable.

Sorry I’m not very good doing this.

Don't worry - no-one starts out very good at them!

But that is much better - and avoids your personal info.

They suggest that your kidneys aren't very happy with a low e-GFR and lowish albumin... I don't see anything relating to Vit D?

Did he test ferritin, folate, B12 etc?

Thanks for getting back to me. Sorry it’s vid B not D just looked at the box I’ve to take one in morning of thisCyanocB12. He also gave me Folic acid 5mg tablet to take one in morning as well. Don’t think he did ferritin should I ask for that to be done in 4weeks time. I’m not very good at posting stuff never sure if I have done it right.

Ah right, don’t worry the edit function (under the 'More' tab) is essential for me to even vaguely make sense most of the time, my head and my fingers often disconnect!

Sounds like ferritin or even better a full iron panel would be a good idea as you are looking like a classic hypo

If you fill in your bio it’s useful to others giving advice 🤗

I have got two dogs as well. I have been on one 50mg Levothyroxine in the morning since 2005. I was in hospital last year for infection on heart wall. The hospital put me on another 25mg of Levothyroxine I now take 75mg only in morning. I do have kidney disease not on any medication for it Dr does my bloods once a year my GFR level is 54.

What are your current TSH, fT4 and fT3 like? 75mcg is still a relatively small dose unless you are petit... my kidney function improved once my fT3 increased

Fay123 profile image
Fay123 in reply toTiggerMe

This is what it looks like on the paper I got TSH - <0.01 MU/L (0.35-5.00 Free T4. 16.0 PMOL/L. (9.0-21.0. TotalT3nmol-L Comments. TFT results may suggest adequate replacement of T4. I don’t know what this all means. Thank you for getting back to me I really appreciate it.

So they haven't tested your fT3 (not unusual) and your fT4 is around 58% which isn't very high, they would consider your TSH too low (below range) and therefore over medicated but without know what level your fT3 (the active bit) is nobody really knows what is going on, judging by your other results you aren't going to be making the best of the fT4 you have...

If you can get yourself a private blood test and pop your results up we'll be able to help you navigate 🤗

Thank you, I have to get my bloods done again in 4 weeks then I will look to get a private test done.
