Sorry if I'm repeating myself just want your opinion if I have a Thyroid or Adrenal problem? Received letter from Dr I saw a endo and its very patronising he was a very strange man. I wasn't allowed to talk or say anything. It was a Dr in a London hospital when I was inpatient for my cuti last year who said I had a Thyroid problem. I don't want to waste my time and energy on something I haven't got ad I have enough going on with my health. I enclose the letter and my latest results. Thankyou

Suggest you retest including thyroid antibodies and vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12
Test early morning, just before 9am and only drink water between waking and test
Thankyou I will do a medicheck again how important is it to not have small breakfast? I struggle with low blood sugar have all my life but if it makes a big difference I will do it? I'm still on just 1/2 10mg of propranolol twice a day it's help with aniexty. Last year it was horrendous same time my Thyroid went high so nervous about stopping it .
Propranolol slows uptake and conversion of Ft4 to Ft3
try cutting to 1/4 tablet for second dose propranolol
Then after 3-4 weeks cut morning dose to 1/4 tablet
Then after 3-4 weeks stop afternoon dose completely
And then finally cut last 1/4 tablet…..one day week
Next week….2 days etc until completely off it
Test thyroid levels 4-6 weeks after stopping propranolol
previous post with actual cortisol and DHEA results

Are you now completely off Propranolol
If/when you are, suggest, after waiting at least 6-8 weeks since stopping propranolol……you then do retest
The thyroid results look fine. The cortisol does not but I'm dubious of the reliability of cortisol saliva tests. What you do need is a free T3 measurement. I don't like taking too many tests but I think you need to measure TSH, fT3 and fT4 to know what is going on with your pituitary / thyroid. It could be that your pituitary is under-performing and your fT3 is low normal when of course it should be a bit above average with a TSH < 1.0 and fT4 in the lower half of its reference interval.
Hi france92, was the CUTI doctor from the chronic uti clinic? I love those guys.
I had a chronic uti for 11 years, had every specialist and test under the sun but everything was ‘normal’ with my bladder. I lived in debilitating pain and I knew I had an underlying issue. 6 years into the infections I began having other symptoms, mainly MH, fatigue, rapid heart rate.. the list goes on. I was diagnosed with all sorts but it was my thyroid. My TSH always came back normal but my ft4/t3 was at the bottom of the range. My cortisol was dire like yours but no doctor would treat me as I had no endocrinology problem - my letters used to read word for word the same as yours.
At my whits end I read Dr Barry peatfields book and made the plunge to order some non prescription NDT from abroad. After 6 months I got very very well and my infections disappeared along with all my other medical problems.
I really doubt that any tests can pick it up sometimes, especially if the pituitary is involved over the thyroid. The best test you can do is to take your temp first thing orally, if it’s lower than 36.6 it could point to thyroid. I think at the minimum you need to test t3 and antibodies to exclude thyroid as a diagnosis.
For low cortisol you could try adrenal cortex and follow the method in Barry peatfields book. I am happy to send you photos of the relevant pages if you need.
I did my temperature this morning with digital thermometer in mouth 36.2° used an ear one 36.3° in one ear 36.7° in the other. I did bloods last year for t3 and antibodies all normal. Do you think I should try a Adrenal cortex first? Where you on longterm high dose antibiotics all them years? Thankyou
Yes the Luts clinic Dr Raj and Dr Gill. Had this infection 4.5 years been with them 3 years. The problem I've had is I've had a fever with it so temperature is not accurate for years it was 36.4° then I got this cuti it went up to 37.8-38° it's now gone down to 37 still bit up. I saw Dr Peterfield many years ago when I went down with m.e but to scared to take the steriods. I've got the book your thyroid is that the one what glandular could I try? I'm just getting over a major op which has wiped me out more🤦♀️
