Hi Folks ,

If my T3 reading is low but the others are in the normal range ...whats the best way to increase my T3 ...

Usual symptoms , no energy , cant sleep always cold etc etc

Shall i just go up with Erfa slightly ...I get confused as sometimes it seems to have to do the opposite to what seems logical ...

Thank you !

Nina

Welcome to the group. If you could complete your profile it helps members understand your thyroid journey. Click on your image icon to start.

Do you have your most recent blood results? It would give a better idea of whats happening to see those. Do also include reference ranges for each result.

Do you also have vitamin blood results? Ferritin, folate, B12 & D3. We need all of these at OPTIMAL levels for our thyroid hormone to work well.

Private tests are available, see link for companies offering private blood tests & discount codes, some offer a blood draw service at an extra cost. thyroiduk.org/help-and-supp...

There is also a new company offering walk in & mail order blood tests in London, Kent, Surrey & Sussex. No charge for blood draw in clinic. Check to see if there is a blood test company near you. onedaytests.com/products/ul...

It helps people to comment if you can post results for thyroid and vitamins. Do also include the ranges as they vary from lab to lab. Numbers in brackets after your result number. Often what doctors call normal can be a lot less than optimal.

Welcome to the forum

How much Erfa are you taking? When you take NDT it naturally reduces your TSH & T4 so if these are still relatively high aka still well 'in the standard range' it could indicate a need for an increase.

Like Jaydee says it would be good f you could post results.

Hello Nonaho and welcome to the forum :

It would help us help you better if we knew a little bit more about you ?

What and when were the cause of your hypothyroidism and the treatment prescribed etc

No thyroid hormone replacement works well until your core strength vitamins and minerals - those of ferritin, folate, B12 and vitamin are up and maintained at optimal.

Do you have any blood test readings and ranges to share with forum members so we can talk you through what it this means and the impact on T3/T4 conversion ?

It started in 2015 when I hit 60, it runs in the family, I was put on levroxine 100mc they reduced ot to 75mc years ago, I take vitamin D3 and feroglobin tonic which seems to help with the tiredness, I will look up bloods and post thank you so much
