I take 25 mcg and two 5 mcg pills to make a total dose of 35 mcg. I don't see how this is possible. If I take 35 mcg at night and then start splitting and taking the next evenings dose during the day, I'd get heart palpitations. I knew this as I tried to raise my dose to 40 mcg by taking a daytime dose and I didn't like the results.
Do you think it would be ok just take my full evening dose and test 12 hours later?
I would stick to your usual routine. Testing 11 hours after a dose will give you an average level.I think we should try to keep to our regular dosing as much as possible prior to testing. If you don't normally split your dose then don't. Changing the way you dose prior to a blood test means that the results don't resemble reality ie the levels you have everyday on your regular dosing pattern.
Taking T3 at 10pm with a blood draw at 9am will give you a near perfect assessment of your average fT3 and TSH levels, so nothing to change. I find it better to split into two daily doses with slightly more at bedtime but if once daily dosing suits you that’s fine.
