Worth the walk!... they don't even add up 98% or 99% 🤣

At least with mine I get an extra .1% uselessness 😁100.1%

The search facility for that report is useless. I found my surgery okay (which didn't have great scores) so wanted to look at surgeries with the same Integrated Care System area and Region as mine.

The search fails to produce a realistic list. I'm sure there are more than 10 surgeries in my area!

10 to a page...

They list them best to worst... mines 8th... from the bottom (page 7) in the Integrated Care System!

Only 5 practices show up when I’ve checked against region or ICS. One even got 100% good, 0% bad, 0% neither. That’s madness.

I'm not really sure what the point of it is? Box ticking exercise? Seemingly the other 2 surgery's in the group that took over ours at the beginning of the year are considerably better so 🤞

I'm actually going to my first Patient Participation Meeting next week to see what its all about 😬

I love them! My own practice has still to resume thiers. I hope you are able to enjoy your involvement and patients benefit from it too 🤞🏽

P.S. The patients surveys make them look good which I suppose oh must help them financially in some way. After all, while we think of GPs as NHS services, they are more of a private business in how they operate. I hope someone comes along to elaborate why these surveys are useful to the Practice as I’d love to know too.

75.6% good9.5% poor

14.8% neither

Well, they can't have spoken to any of the thyroid patients then. 🤣

Not surprising for my practice. Though, I do wonder what these would be like if patients were not carefully selected.

I think my Practice is the highest scorer so far in the thread. Does it get a prize?

TiggerMe profile image

An influx of new patients... that'll lower the score 😂

Dire compared to the outlying villages smaller practices. 😞

I wonder how many people actually up and change practices when they see the stats 🤷‍♀️ I suppose some people must be getting good care... perhaps just not us Thyroid invalids wherever you go 😕

Regenallotment profile image

yup tempted 🙃

Maybe worth checking their websites to see who they have and their fields of interest in their little bio bit... jogging, fishing... auto immune research? 😏

Hilariously 'my' GP doesn't even exist on the site and she was in charge before the takeover!... most of the others are only part-timers 😬

Regenallotment profile image

that’s a very good idea

It could be we all have a much better GP for our needs just around the corner 🕵️‍♀️

I’m assuming that’s for NHS England only then… my Welsh practice shows no results at all…

TiggerMe profile image
TiggerMe in reply to Zephyrbear

Guess so... you have a different system it seems?   serenfach doesn't paint a good picture of it though 😬

It’s not too bad where I am in Powys… at least my surgery has never quibbled about supplying my Liothyronine, even at the height of the price hikes…

More importantly are you pleased with them?

When I actually get to see them, yes. Lol

Actually in the past I have recommended them, they are a teaching surgery as well.

I'm getting envy looking at those results. Mine is 49.3/28.1/22.6. I can confirm I'm worth the middle section with my opinion lol.

TiggerMe profile image

Ouch... time to vote with your feet maybe?

Feuerfrei profile image
Feuerfrei in reply to TiggerMe

Maybe. I'm sort of spoiled with it being across the road from me. The others are over a mile away. Don't like one of them having had physio there and the other has 61%good which is better but.... I may see if they are taking on new patients. Been looking on and off for a while

Time for a bit of GP info stalking 😏

Yeah. I think this year's resounds are actually an improvement on the previous ones 🤣

64.6 - 14.5 - 20.9 for mine. I'm surprised they scored that well!

BootsOn profile image
BootsOn in reply to BootsOn

And it gets worse: my nearest alternative is 49 - 29.1 - 21.9 so that would not be worth jumping ship for!

I must come on the 'poor' category having asked them for full access to my medical records with not even an acknowledgement for 25 working days and counting. Nearest alternatives are all worse.

😕 Time to become a nuisance, I quite like the message facility on their websites which it seems they have to respond too?
