Does anybody with UAT or Hashimotos feel like they are shaking or trembling inside but not on outside? It’s a horrible feeling which I’m going to mention to my doctor on Thursday when they call.

Check out you cortisol levels as adrenal issues, which are commonly concomitant with thyroid disease, can be responsible for the internal shaking.
thank you I will mention to doctor Thursday
saying that if issue with cortisol levels would I also have a strange feeling in kidney, as I have had this for a good 4 weeks and doctor ran a kidney function test on me.
Not to my knowledge- I mean obviously the adrenals sit atop the kidneys but that will not necessarily correlate with kidney pain. It’s often pains in sartorius, gracilis, posterior tibialis, gastrocnemius and soleus that are caused by adrenal dysfunction. Also pains in neck and upper back.
I doubt your doctor will understand- Most (including private ones) do not have the slightest clue about adrenals in conjunction with thyroid and if they do test cortisol they only have the limited blood cortisol test at their disposal, which is not very reliable as it tests both bound and unbound cortisol. Id do a diurnal 5 point salivary cortisol text. this will give you a much clearer picture.
My issue with internal shaking, and I know the same case of friends of mine, improved when I was on ACE and doing other things to fully support my adrenals
LucyYoga what is ACE sorry new to all this? What things would you advise to support? X
Yes as @eeyore100 says it will likely be dismissed by most allopathic doctors who do not recognise HPA axis dysfunction as being a 'thing'. They only seem to recognise primary or secondary adrenal insufficiency but nothing in-between.
ACE is adrenal cortex extract that many people self treat with- some others use hydrocortisone.
I would do a regenerus labs 5 point diurnal salivary cortisol test then post your results on here. Over 90% of people with thyroid disease have some degree of adrenal dysfunction too- often more severe depending on how long you have been hypo for. Don't rely on a standard doctor to get well- or it will be a long time coming if ever.
As a newbie the best advice I can give you is educate yourself on everything throid related as you'll need to be your own advocate.
I would start with Dr Barry Peatfield's - your thyroid and how to keep it healthy. That's a good easy introductory read. Plus the books by Paul Robinson thyroid patient advocate. Datis Kharrazian has also written some good stuff on thyroid. Stop the thyroid madness is another good resource. But ultimately get reading!
Re adrenals there are simple things you can do to support them like adaptogens, vitamin C, B vits (particularly pantothenic acid - B5), stress reduction etc. But for me and many others I know that didn't touch the sides and I take quite high doses of adrenal cortex currently- which is time, as my thyroid is optimally treated and there is less pressure on the adrenals to act as back up generator, I will be able to reduce.
Also Isabella Wentz is good all-round source of thyroid/adrenal knowledge. Check her out- she has good website and books. But I can't reiterate how important it is to learn about all of this. I was diagnosed 9 months ago and have spent the last 9 months constantly reading and researching which has shown me what pitfalls to avoid, what questions to ask and what to do in order to get well as quickly as possible and avoid months/years of unnecessary suffering.
The test is recommended is by lab called regenerus. I think there are probably other ones but that's the one I used.
thank you I will defo look into all of this and look at getting a test done and posting.
I'm with Lucy, I get the jitters with low cortisol, adrenal support needed which they will likely dismiss so don't feel too downhearted when brushed aside🤗
You started on 100mcg …..your adrenals may be finding that a large change in levels
How long have you been on 100mcg now?
I had this for 18 months or so - it's horrible. It disappeared once I went on to T3. Have you got recent T4 T3 and TSH results?
