Check out this menu, we donβt eat out often but this local village restaurant have gone above and beyond. Iβve never had this kind of special treatment before.
Apparently the chef trained in medicine before deciding to chef.
wow lucky me π±

All the desserts for me please π€
wow! Iβm very impressed ππ
Very nice.
I visited a local posh spa restaurant recently and was so looking forward to it. It was advertised as all dairy free which I thought boded well. When we got there they didn't have any gluten free bread and instead of dairy they had used soy including soy flour in about everything. In the end I think I had one or two things I could pick from that were cobbled together from various dishes. I was gutted.
I'd be round to that restaurant like a shot.
Very impressive.
I have found a combination of Celiac UK app, google maps review with search term βglutenβ and trip advisor reviews a dream for sourcing suitable places to eat.
I was recently at Mallorca where dairy free and gluten free options very much more accessible and I had a few lovely coconut ice creams π I should move there.
That does sound very nice π
Now I would really like to see their vegan menu. If it was gluten, soy, dairy, sulphites free and vegan I'd be cartwheeling to the bar π€Έπ»ββοΈπΊ(If I could cartwheel) π
thanks for posting this especially good for a small restaurant-could we know where it is?
I've thought about opening up a gluten free restaurant in my state in the U.S. None, Zero exist. I know it would be a money maker. 100% gluten and dairy free. With that said, I eat at a couple of mexican restaurants that know me well and always prepare my meals right. I always order 1 of 2 meals to keep from making the cooks job hard. There is only 1 place that makes gluten free sweets in my state.
It's great for people that need it but very expensive. Here in France we eat out locally at lunch time it's three courses for only 15 euros that includes wine too.
The food in the shops here is very expensive so I don't know how they do it. But it's everywhere in France.
Your Menu sound great by the way, lucky you.
We lost contact during the years of lockdown, but I used to meet a few ladies for lunch each week rotating different restaurants. A couple of the ladies needed gluten free meals and found no problem asking for one. There are more than a few restaurants in my area that do them.
I came over all Victor Meldrew when I saw the prices. I'm still in the last century when it comes to prices I'm afraid.
yes I agree the prices are eye watering. We eat out once a year with two other couples so itβs a huge treat. And they chose the venue. We live on a very tight budget and this is more than a weekβs shopping for us. π³
