I’ve been taking Morningside t3 (small pills) for almost a year (hospital precriotion) and have been changed to large gel based Roma capsules. Has anyone else experienced this brand and with what effects if any?
change of t3 brand : I’ve been taking Morningside... - Thyroid UK
change of t3 brand
Similar to my story: I believe Roma capsules didn’t suit me. Having felt well on Morningside, I went downhill on Roma capsules.
I was the same. Can't take roma. I have read some people break the capsule and just take the insides.....a lot of messing about though.
I really hope anyone who has an issue with Roma - or any other medicine - puts in a Yellow Card report.
If we don't we really can't complain that issues are not noticed and dealt with. Even though we might think they don't have much impact individually.
I have just been told by four different pharmacies that they can only get roma now.
oh… I called mine today to check that they cost approx the same amount ie £110 per batch as pharmacies are being caught out or underpaid for what they are dispensing.
Mine said it was variable in terms of accessing but they would try to source it. If not I will ask my endo to keep prescribing it.
I was getting mine through the hospital pharmacy and they told me today that they can only get roma now..the only one that makes me feel ill
I phoned morningside and their reply as follows: “Our Sales Team have informed us that there are no supply issues with Morningside's Liothyronine Tablets and you should be able to obtain it from most pharmacies. We would recommend trying a larger pharmacy company such as Boots or Lloyds.
If your pharmacy continues to face issues obtaining our product, please ask them to call Morningside Pharmaceuticals in Loughborough directly and our Sales Team can assist them with this”
oh - so sorry. Maybe we should ring the people who make morningside to see what the problem is.
It’s due to a (mistaken ) assumption that capsules are cheaper
Not necessarily so
