Sriprasit now BOP Medica... cause for concern?

Fam;

Potentially bad news from Thailand, where the clearly Thai Sriprasit has segued into BOP Medica which sounds vaguely 1st world. As Thyroid-S is now pretty much the only available desiccated thyroid besides the staggeringly expensive Armour, am I seeing a conspiracy to shut down one of the scant remaining manufacturers by the 'levo mafia'?

Or am I displaying paranoia? Well, it is a symptom...😜

I have relatives in health provision in Thailand. All I will say is:

Don’t think you’re suffering from Paranoia.

I don't think you need to worry. A couple of us discussed this privately last year as we wondered what was going on and it turned out that Sriprasit was a family company (Sri Prasit, Sri being a Sanskrit honorific) which gradually created different companies for different areas of their work. Thus emails from the import/export department now come from the same person but with the name BOP Medica underneath. I received some invoices from SPS Medica, that being the company they established for their local distribution. They do all belong to the same parent company at the moment and we are watching ;)

You're welcome, and I've just added a link to their website which mentions one of their other companies.

Shocked to read Sriprasit are the only manufacturer other than Armour. That has other implications - might explain why the T-S price has gone up so much in the last couple of years.Have to hope somewhere else a pharmaceutical company will decide to get into production and competition will keep prices down.
