Hi,Has anyone experienced numbness/tingling in the top of the foot?
I started with this in January this year. ( A month after getting covid ) it's only in my left foot and only on the top part, not the toes... I've seen my GP and had bloods taken, all came back with no issues. The Dr says it could be related to covid but as there isn't enough information to go on she just said if it gets worse come back. I think it's probably more to do with hypothyroidism, I've had hashimotos for 10 years now.
Any advice appreciated

I have something similar which I get a lot, just left side and my big toe is the worst affected and I often feel like I am having electric shocks in my toes and up my leg, other times just tingling and numbness. I have had numerous investigations and no cause found. It’s been going on a long time before Covid so it my case it can’t be that. I do find it is much worse when my B12 injection is due, is this a possibility for you? But I do believe it is worse when my thyroid levels are low, so I personally think there is a link.
I have had the tingling in big left toe reaching the foot for years. Eventually I was told the nail was not adhering to the nail bed ( in a tiny place) and therefore, fungus was getting under the nail. I had the nail removed. When the same thing happened in the right toe a few years later, the podiatrist cut down the nail rather than remove it, and it has grown again perfectly and looks much healthier.
That’s very interesting, my nails on my big toes always split vertically and I always seem to have a chunk missing from the outer corners. I will have to book an appointment with a Podiatrist and get their opinion.
Yes and physio diagnosed extensor tendinitis. Ultrasound, ice and rest helped. Felt like I’d tied my shoe laces too tight. I’ve had insoles made for my shoes by a podiatrist which has helped stop reoccurrence (so far!)
