Well I asked the Dr, about change in status. They have no idea. Then when I got home, I found that I have now been sent free COVID tests in the post.
******
anyone else had an email from the NHS, stating they are vulnerable to COVID and qualify for treatment if it's contracted? (It doesn't look scammy, but I didn't click any links). All this time, I haven't been considered vulnerable. (I ve never knowingly had it - although. I have always suspected I had it Jan 2020).
Has something changed in the criteria?

Covid is apparently officially over, so this is likely to be a scam. Have a look at the email address that sent it to see if that looks at all genuine or is a similar copy to something that might be official.
Never click on links sent in an email or text.
Always check through a known official source such as your GP surgery if they have sent an email or text.
I received this email yesterday, and don't think it was a scam because it named my mother-in-law in it - she is in a Care Home and I receive medical stuff for her.
I received one of these emails yesterday, it’s genuine. I am entitled to the antiviral medication due to be immunosuppressed and the way I can get this is changing I.e. I won’t be contacted automatically by NHS if I report a positive Covid test, but will need to contact my GP myself.
It seems odd that you have not been on the vulnerable list before, so perhaps you slipped through the net before. I would check with your surgery why they have now put you in the vulnerable category now.
I've heard that they're notifying those 75 and older. Check with your surgery.
Covid isn't 'over'. It's now endemic and will probably be with us forever. We just have to learn to live with it, and get vaccinated if we consider benefit v risk.
