Further to my previous posts today and yesterday, I have just had a reply from my GP who is happy to go with alternate 75/100 days. Great news, thank you all for guiding me through this minefield.

GP changed my Levo dose without letting me know
Thats good news. Hope things work out.
Pleased you have got that sorted! 🤗
I was looking back at your struggle with ferritin and see that it is starting to creep up using Three Arrows 😅 that is great news, how many do you take?
I also wanted to ask if you have looked at your sodium levels as this could be linked to your symptoms, I too only eat homemade and realized that my sodium levels were low as I rarely added extra salt to anything and was always a bit mean in my bread mixes.... bought up in the years when they banged on about how bad for you salt is 🙄
I am now far more generous for the sake of my adrenals and make sure I have an adrenal cocktail at least once a day.
Just thought I'd mention it 😉
Hi Eeyore100, Thanks for that info. I have, since yesterday, increased my iron to two tabs a day so now taking 40mg a day. I am aware that it may take some time to increase my ferritin.Yesterday out of interest I looked at my blood tests the GP had received, ( I get mine the same day the test is taken through a system we have here in Cambs called MyChart), the GP 's get theirs several days later. The GP results have remarks added, whether by robotic or real people, I don't know, but my ferritin result has always had 'Normal No further action'. Even my MCH result of 0% with a level of 27 in a range of 27 - 34, I wonder when do the results become abnormal, when I'm dead, presumably. All my blood test results are below the test I had done in October, and most are bottom of the range i.e. MCV is 83 (80 - 101). With modern technology I can't understand why this is not flagged up. I know GP's are very busy at the present time, but given I did mention to two GP's about my ferritin, they just insisted they were ok. I think the whole system has become a tick box system, without looking any further. I'm not surprised there are so many people who are ill and on permanent sick leave. I wonder how many people who are suffering from long covid have got un-diagnosed thyroid issues.
Regarding the sodium levels, true I don't add salt to my cooking. . I do have a sneaky packet of plain crisps now and again. Maybe I shouldn't feel so guilty about this. I'll find out more about sodium. There is so much to learn on this thyroid journey, thanks to this forum I have learnt so much. I have always had to challenge the conventional way of doing things in order to lead a normal life, ( having worn a caliper all my life due to polio at 9 months old), so have learnt that the medics are not always right. Thanks again for the help.
They do tend to latch on to one issue at a time which doesn't help 🙄I would imagine somewhere in your test history you will have creatinine and sodium levels as they are quite commonly lumped in with full bloods etc
They seem to go with a very wide range on their blood tests and then only act if critical rather than chronic which is really unhelpful when you are trying to optimise your system in the vain hope you don't have to keep revisiting them for more fobbing off 😕
Unless of course it is your T3/4 levels and then they are super sensitive if you are anywhere other than mid range😡
Looks at least that you are a good converter so you hopefully won't ever need to do the T3 dance 😅
Keep saying it 'salt is my friend' 🤗
I seem to remember on the awful Three Arrows website about the protocol being something like working up to 6! Don't fancy that... slow and steady will do me.... I've done well with them and then thought I'll stop for a month and see what happens (as post meno so not losing blood regularly and didn't want to overdo it) slid straight back to bottom of range so I am back on 2 a day having previously only taken one but heck I'm playing catch up this month!
Whoops sent reply to myself, silly me. What is your adrenal cocktail?
Hi, its me again. Just read your biography, noticed that you have a histamine problem. Same here. I've had this problem long before I was diagnosed with thyroid. When in Kenya I seem to get bitten more than other people and the bites turn nasty if not treated with T Tree immediately. I also seem to have symptoms all year round not just when the pollen is high. Some of my symptoms seem to mirror thyroid symptoms which makes it complicated. I read an interesting article on Thyroid and Histamin and have bought Dr Janice Joneja' s Histamine Intolerance Cookbook, but haven't had time to use it yet. Unfortunately most of the foods high in histamine are foods I like and use a lot, but will try her recipes. I seem to remember a post about Covid Booster and Histamine some time ago, but haven't been able to find it since. It gave two websites which relate to the vaccines, I think the vaccines have something called Histadene in them, a derivative of histamine. I'm wondering if that is why my neck became swollen after my booster, it took weeks to go down. I thought it was my lymph glands doing their stuff. Also another booster made me ill for weeks. Because of this I didn't have the last booster, I was feeling quite ill for several weeks and just felt that I didn't want to bombard my immune system with anything else. I have just been invited to have yet another booster but before I do I want to find out more info on what is in the vaccine. If there is anyone out there with info on this please??
👋Worth putting a separate post up about vaccine as you will get a bigger response 😉
First covid jab floored me but gave me the kick up the proverbial to fight a little harder, our immune system runs on estrogen... Who knew!! Thankfully I found the forum 😅and got some T3 in my life!
Since then the jabs haven't been an issue... damned if you do damned if you don't 🙄 there have been a few articles recently about how autoimmune issues can actually mean a very robust system🤷♀️... can't remember if you ever got the antibodies test?
I did read your bio but only a certain amount sticks... can't remember how much detail I put in mine either 🙃
Finding out about histamine was a game changer, like you say it's the things you love that bite hardest... avocado and olives are like Russian Roulette so I steer clear these days... I don't miss them as I feel like I've been poisoned when I overdo histamine far worse than a hypo dip.
I don't seem to be affected to badly by bites or pollen etc 🤷♀️
Yes, I will put ;up a separate post on the vaccinces. Will also check out my past blood tests re creatinine and sodium, I have hard copies of all my blood tests (a bit fanatical that way) just in case NHS misplace any. I had TPO test done which is high >1,300. So need to get that down. I'm glad I don't have to go down the rabbit hole re T3. Thanks for your help
