CBD oil - cortisol levels?

Any experience with cannabidiol oil?

I'm taking these two prescribed by a doctor to treat anxiety, depression, ADHD and insomnia.

Maybe they are affecting my cortisol levels?

Edit:

I was diagnosed with ADHD before Hashimoto.

Last month it was my rhinoseptoplasty and they applied intramuscular corticosteroids. It affected my sleep a lot.

My symptoms: restlessness, nervousness, low stress tolerance, very tired, irritability, palpitation, I feel sick.

I've taken CBD oil, with nothing but good to say about it.

Your symptoms sound like under-medication. What are your thyroid hormone levels?

My last blood tests were in February. I will do them again tomorrow.

I am a long time user. I started using it in 2018 and it has helped me manage all sorts of chronic pain. The one I use is £70 for 10ml so I tend to top up in sales.

I stopped using it recently (due to pregnancy) and I haven’t restarted while on Levothyroxine however I wouldn’t hesitate if I wanted to either.

It’s worth a go. Do your reading on a few trusted sources (many are regulated by certain bodies) to find a good one quality one (especially ans too many claim to be CBD annd are actually hemp). You want full flavonoids and spectrum. Always start on a low dose.

As a newbie, I’d recommend the sublingual method too.

I hope that helps.

P.S. some people have to try a few before they find one that actually helps, and I am sure this is as they are just buying hemp in error.

Whilst Ive not personally taken CBD oil, our dog has and we believe its helped her joint pain (she hasnt confirmed though!). Its used for various conditions and even been reported to help combat covid 19 - see video link below including 2 scientific articles referenced.

I take prescription CBD and THC (in a lower quantity and only at night) for anxiety and pain. There is nothing bad I could say about it. The saying "Start low, go slow" is good advice and, just like figuring out the right dose of T4 and T3, this was another listen-to-your-body-experience. From what I learned, it is advisable to stay with the same brand(s) once I settled on them, because they all seem to be a little bit different from each other, which makes it difficult to find the right dose when hopping around between brands. I still continue to try figuring out why I need to take the stuff in the first place in hopes to get to the bottom of things and find a way to support my body, mind and spirit to heal itself. The body is so complex and there is so much to explore and learn.

Not what you're looking for?
