The British Thyroid Foundation has produced, and is recommending, an alert card for those taking anti-thyroid medicines (Carbimazole or Propylthiouracil).
But consider it entirely wrong to rely on an informal system promoted and funded by a charity or paid for by patients.
Every pack of anti-thyroid tablets should contain an Alert Card. This should be a requirement by the MHRA imposed on every supplier.
I'd go further and suggest that it is a candidate for Original Pack Dispensing so that packs can never be split from alert cards.
However, until then, it does seem to be a good idea to carry an alert card if you are on an anti-thyroid medicine. And this at least has the looks which demand that it is taken seriously.
(Of course, the biggest problem is that only those who are aware will realise how sensible it is to carry a card.)

I have had loose pills as split from a bottle with greater quantity, so if on packaging would help part of time.
Ensuring PIL (patient information leaflets) are dispensed can also be hit & miss.
I’ve never seen them at hospital - or never noticed or been given one, although I have many BTF leaflets regarding RAI treatment. Had about 5 of them passed / posted to me.
The card can be ordered but is currently out of stock it can be downloaded.
There is also a TED early warning card every one with Graves should be handed one of these.
If you have a smart phone, the majority have some form of ICE (In Case of Emergency) option which would allow someone to access this sort of critical information. But only if you have set it up!
I've just looked up instructions. However, some might have old releases of IOS, or any of numerous versions of Android, all of which might be somewhat different.
I agree 200% (including 100% for your further suggestion!) with you helvella . It is a lethal drug, which I'm still suffering from being over prescribed (for Graves'...a 50mgm 'maintenance' dose for goodness knows how long 😟) nearly 30 years ago, with the doctors responsible for the over prescribing long since having moved on or retired but, only after leaving a trail of spurious and erroneous statements on my files (I'm still battling to have those 'corrected').
The health implications on me after all that have been massive, not least because I believe they completely f&%$£ed my thyroid/whole system functioning up. 😠
So, thank you for this helvella - you've just given me another tool for my fightback and have brought me to 😢
