If you are taking the supplement an hour away from Levo it should be OK. It could be an additive in the supplement?
do you think it’s just better to stop taking it I also take a multi vitamin every day x
It's up to you if the itching is interfering with your life, depends why you were taking it?
Did you get a dose increase since your last post?
We don't recommend multivitamins here as they don't contain enough of anything to treat a deficiency which hypos frequently have and also they contain iron and magnesium that prevent you absorbing some of the other vits in it.
Best get your ferritin, folate, B12 & D3 tested and post results here.
well o started taking it to see if it would take my shiny legs away because it’s meant to be good for your skin but the itching drove me mad yesterday so don’t think I will bother anymore it’s probably all down to the menopause tbf and no the doctor just left me on same dose of thyroxine 175 xx
Suggest you wait 2-4 weeks after stopping collagen and get FULL thyroid and vitamin testing
Previous post showed you needed dose increase in levothyroxine
all thyroid blood tests early morning, ideally just before 9am and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test
This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip)
Private tests are available as NHS currently rarely tests Ft3 or all relevant vitamins

Baileyleigh123, Is this collagen a marine (fish) derived product? If so, you may be experiencing a histamine reaction. Try taking an anti-histamine to see if it calms the itching (cetirizine or loratadine).
Yes, I too had a hive like reaction to marine collagen, but do just fine on the bovine collagen.
I saw something on tv last week about collagen. They advised applying collagen directly to the skin rather than taking it internally.
