hello

Following years of worsening symptoms eye dip and facial swellings, muscles tire easily on use especially eyebrow, numb tingly nose intermittent, lately, rashes including what was said to be uticaria but never has gone just fades and flares red , muscle weakness and fear some loss , joint swellings , swollen neck glands tendon problems, painful wrists and ankles, weird back sensations , urine and bowel problems all which seem to flare along with other skin problems

at one point I lost all the hair on my legs and outer eyebrows. A year later hair grown back but very slowly and still sparse eyebrows. Having gp say thyroid fine I did a private test which showed no antibodies but subacute hypothyroidism. Terrible bouts of fatigue and breathlessness. Would any of this be the result of thyroid possibly? Or I guess the subacute may also be due to these problems. Still awaiting neurology appointment for years and have been given aug 2024 but fear more problems or damage on waiting .

Thankyou

When did you do this test and what were the actual numbers?

Have you done a private test since?

Hello, blimey you have a real laundry list don’t you.

If you share your latest blood test results, and get a copy of the ones the GP says are normal. And put them in a new message with ranges you will get a pile on of help and advice.

My own experience with a similar laundry list is that I was told sub acute let’s watch and wait, then I tested privately for antibodies and went back to GP to insist on treatment and antibodies showed autoimmune which requires treatment, left on a child starter dose for months feeling worse, then with info from here I’ve changed diet, optimised vitamins I had no idea I was short of (another private blood test), roll on 12+ months, now up to 125mcg after 8 weekly increases with testing and chasing GP. Chronic ankle pain has receded after 7 years, gut health way, way better, am managing to keep my job for now. Brainfog - still a bit, but much improved.

Hope this is useful others will be along with more for you 🌱🦋🌱

was this private test or NHS

What’s the range on Ft4, Ft3 and antibodies

Please add actual results and ranges for vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12

Low vitamin levels tend to lower TSH

Important to maintain OPTIMAL vitamin levels

Ever had ultrasound scan of thyroid

Approx how old are you

TSH is high

Graph showing median TSH in healthy population is 1-1.5
