Hallo, someone - not sure who, @helvella maybe? (apologies if not) wrote an excellent response on this issue the other day, I believe it was a question about T3 and interactions with other supps/meds. I didn't save it and can't find the post again, so:
Iron: 4 hours after T3 dose? or 4 hours before T3 dose?
If dosing T3 every 8 hours; is it better to be exactly correct in taking iron on the 4 hour mark; or would it be less likely to compromise absorption if done say 3.5 hours after one dose and therefore 4.5 hours before next?
advice based on something known/stated very gratefully received.

Certain medications can decrease the absorption of liothyronine. Examples include products that contain aluminum or magnesium, antacids, sucralfate, calcium supplements, iron, bile acid-binding resins (such as cholestyramine, colestipol, colesevelam), simethicone, sevelamer, sodium polystyrene sulfonate, among others. If you take any of these medications, take them at least 4 hours before or after liothyronine.
