Hi, does anyone know if mercury pharma is just as awful as Teva brand? I’ve been on mercury for about a week and I’m getting bloating, feeling sick, palpitations and increased headaches with mercury. I normally have wockhardt and have no problems with them at all.

TIA

Teva suits some and not others, for those that suit it, it's far better than other brands.

personally i feel totally naff on Teva and now avoid it , but am ok with pretty much anything else .

But i do always notice a difference when i change brand from say Accord to Mercury . (and this usually includes a few days of transient headaches when i start Mercury.).. it's as though Mercury feels somehow a bit 'faster' if that make sense.

But i seem to perfectly ok on Mercury after about 10 days , (unlike teva where i continue to feel naff).

So i try to not change brands too often if possible , as even though i feel ok after a while on anything other than Teva., the change over is often a bit unsettling . and particularly if i change TO Mercury, whereas changing FROM Mercury to Accord is not particularly noticeable.

Maybe give it another week or two, and see how it goes .

For over 5 years my levothyroxine was always MercuryPharma. Covid came, and so did various changes in brands. Last year I realised I was feeling ill again, symptoms returning and a bad fall. I eventually realised all the changes in brand were not suiting me, and now am back on MercuryPharma for 2 months, and feeling stabilised again. It seems some brands suit some of us, and other brands don't.

I've just been to chemists and asked them if I could stay on the type of levothyroxine as I am on now as they seem to make me feel real well. I am on wockhardt and accord but previously on Teva and mercury. They are what give me serious brain fog.
