just noticed this for the first time recently - some very positive research about how it can help the thyroid - but not seen it discussed much on the various boards
One supplement I will research further

I'm not sure your link works. I managed to get into the healthline.com website but they won't let me in as I refuse cookies.
I trialled forskolin a while ago as it may boost deiodinase pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/?te... . It didn't help. Perhaps because forskolin also presumably boosts deiodinase in the pituitary causing TSH to fall further. Since TSH also boosts deiodinase the net effect is zero and a (slightly) lighter pocket. Hence, I stopped taking forskolin.
i think you need to treat thyroid hormone/ supplement advice from this site with caution.
found the right page for the forskolin supplement .. and amongst other things it contains and advert for Lugol's iodine, and this statement ..... "As the diet provides only 50-70µg a day, iodine supplementation is essential. As advised by the WHO, it is free from toxicity at daily doses up to 1000µg." .....surely that's a huge amount more than the RDA of about 150mcg . or have i got my ug's/ mcg mixed up ?
This suggests that they do not know very much about autoimmune thyroid disease or it's treatment, or the potential effects of iodine supplementation for people who are not deficient and already have a dodgy thyroid ... and if they don't know that , then there is probably a lot of other stuff they don't know and therefore probably shouldn't be offering advice or selling supplements to people to help with thyroid problems.
I think you need to look for your supplement information from more scientifically 'valid' sources .. preferably ones that aren't trying to sell anything.
The entire site seems to use articles as clickbait for their advertising and sales.
Site also doesn't make clear who they really are.
I wouldn't trust at all.
There are almost 2,500 papers which refer to forskolin and thyroid on EuropePMC:
Tatty, all fair points - the web can be a source of help and confusion too.
interestingly, Thyrogold the ndt uses forskolin in their formula…
Am I the only one to think the name is a bit funny?
Yes, I am childish!
yes you are .
behave yourself ....or go and sit outside with tattybogle who has already been caught sniggering .
yup, I literally couldn’t take this because it makes me giggle 🤣
