I've got my Blue Horizon Gene Results back... very interesting!
I'm even more 'Special' than even I thought π€£
Is there any point sharing with my Endo? First appointment coming up

Sharing with endo might help you. But might not. Could be your genetic results are refused or ignored - or only placed on file.
However, in general terms, sharing could help all of us by drawing attention to genetic issues.
I doubt many endos are that involved in genetics. Anyway, the meaning of genetic results is still being researched and will doubtless produce many surprises. But you could just be lucky.
Right, I'll take one for the team, take them along and report back... I think this poor Endo might only want to see me this once π
Is it likely to backfire in the future if they have them on record I wonder? I don't want to give them enough rope to hang me π©

If SNP rs999 (made up!) is associated with a thyroid issue, then not having rs999 doesn't prove that you don't have that thyroid issue but caused by, say, rs888!
Where there is robust and clear evidence of a genetic cause, I guess it could work against you. But I suspect we do not have comprehensive evidence which could validly be used like that.
My muzzy head was reading Scottish National Party!....π¬ time for a walk
If the snp has been inherited from both parents the impact on T4 to T3 conversion is greater when taking T4only.
I inherited the Dio2 snp from both parents (homozygous)
The endo I spoke with knew this but he still thought T4 should suffice. Wrong....it had almost killed me!!
Definitely share your result with your endo.....the more "noise" we make the better!!
The following might help you argue your case
