Make of this paper what you will. It claims that myo-inositol and selenium therapy can normalise TSH in subclinical hypothyroidism. I just mention it because it could possibly differentiate those with temporary SCH and those who are firmly on their way to overt hypothyroidism.

I think that taking Selenium helped me for a short time a few years before I was diagnosed but it wasn't a permanent solution.Karen

Supplementation with myo-inositol and Selenium: selenium is fine and I take that. I'd purchased myo-inositol [for metabolic syndrome] and helvella helped me with working out the measurement for the TINIEST amount to be taken!

This makes me wonder whether lack of Selenium in our soil is responsible for a lot of our ills nowadays, and might account for so much Auto-Immune illness!
