I’ve heard allergies being a symptom of thyroid but it could also an allergic reaction to the medication too. They all have fillers and some people react to that.
you are right, I had a couple of days on Accord a few weeks back and that made me quite unwell. I wonder if the latest itches are related to that? I’m back on Teva which in the absence of alternatives (dairy intolerance) is my best option. But…. I’ve been trying out lactose free products and you mentioning this is now making me question whether a lactose free cream cheese, cheese and yogurt could be the culprits. Hmmm a few days off those and I’ll test that theory. Thanks for the idea! 🦋💚🦋
I've found it seems to be an issue with the proteins in dairy that trigger my symptoms. Believe me I tried all the variations of goats, sheeps cheese/milk and even raw milk. The only way was removing it all.
Hi. Yes I have a lot of allergies, even before the Hashis/hypo was diagnosed. Perfumed soaps are a no and similar products. I sneeze a lot around soap powder, I can't wear wool next to my skin, and msg, yeast extract, barley malt and other food additives give me a pounding headache and nausea. Those are the ones that spring to mind immediately. I'm very wary of medications now as I seem to get all the listed side effects! I also find antihistamines of limited use and even the non drowsy ones make me drowsy! I'm itching a lot at the moment which is very annoying and I'm not sure if my levo dose is right yet.
Thanks for sharing this is very familiar. As a family we tend to stick to the same washing powder soaps etc. I do have some new products though so definitely something to look at. I am GF and dairy free too but perhaps need to delve deeper, interesting about headaches linked too. Someone reminded me to check the marmite label a while back - contains gluten 🙈. I thought the same about certirizine too, didn’t seem to take effect. I’ll try loratadine and see if I get better results. Much appreciated 🦋💚🦋
