Hi all,
Going with my dad (72yrs) for his first visit to an endocrinologist tomorrow. He is paying privately. Any thoughts on what to ask/ or tips on what to expect would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Clare

As you haven't had a reply yet, I ll throw my tupennarth in.I haven't seen an endocrinologist, but if i did, I think the first basic I d take note of is whether they appear to understand the benefit (and can interpret results) of T3 and T4 testing.
If they seem to know what they're doing, I d expect a plan of how to get from where your Dad is now, to a place of being symptom free. With an explanation of why that might be a good course of action. And how long to give it, how they will monitor etc.
Also, what else can they help with? Can they refer other issues to colleagues at all?
Then I'd want to hear Plan B if Plan A does't work.
That's it! That's all I got!
